Cherry Tomatoes with Vinegar
No.4 Cherry Tomatoes with Vinegar
Ingredients:
1 packet (approx. 220/250 g) cherry tomatoes
1 to 2 pieces red chilli
1 cup (lukewarm) purified water
¼ cup natural vinegar
½ teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black peppercorn
1 tablespoon oligo
1 glass jar/container with lid
Method:
1. Wash cherry tomatoes, drain and set aside.
2. Using a bamboo toothpick, gently prick the cherry tomatoes about 8 to12 times, this is to allow the tomatoes to absorb the vinegar solution. Put the cherry tomatoes into a glass jar with lid.
3. Dissolve sea salt in lukewarm water and add in the black peppercorn and chilli. Set aside to cool completely before adding in the oligo and vinegar.
4. Pour into the glass jar with cherry tomatoes, cover lid and set aside for at least 6 hours in the refrigerator before it is ready. Store up to one week in the fridge.
5. Eat 6 to 10 cherry tomatoes at meal times, together with the vinegar solution.
Remarks:
a) Diet/slimming - take before meal.
b) Gastric - take with or after meal.
c) Beauty care - take before or during meal.
Tips
i) You may substitute purified water with mineral/spring/distilled water.
ii) Best to use all natural vinegar but you may also use others i.e. apple cider (organic). iii) Using oligo is the best but if you cannot find, you may substitute it with unrefined brown sugar.
Note
Oligo is a type of sugar used in place of white refined sugar. It has benefits in lowering blood sugar levels (especially people with diabetes) and in reducing elevated blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
