No.12 Organic Thread Vermicelli (Mian Xian) with Olive Oil
Ingredients:
2 bundles of thread vermicelli (approx 80g)
20g carrot (julienne)
2 pieces dried mushroom (julienne)
10g pea shoots
Seasonings:
1 tablespoon camellia seed oil (’gu cha you’ in Chinese)*
1 teaspoon natural mushroom soy sauce
½ teaspoon cold pressed sesame oil
Method:
1) Soak dried mushroom in hot water first to soften and then julienne.
2) Place carrots, mushroom and pea shoots in a bowl and add in the seasonings.
3) Blanch thread vermicelli in boiling water for 3 - 4 minutes, drain and add into the bowl. Serve immediately.
* You may use cold pressed olive oil instead.
Effectiveness
This dish is gentle to the stomach so it is suitable for gastroenteritis condition and gastric juice problems.
